Bed room decoration ideas

A Guide to decorate your room in life style
Decorating is one way to show your personality and to make a space that really feels like you and that you can share with your friends when they come to visit. While not all of us can just buy a whole new bedroom, or call up Colin and Justin to do the work for us, here are some ideas for decorating your home at minimum cost.
Color
You don't have to be Picasso to spruce up your space. Painting your walls is a great way to change the look of a room.White or light neutral colored walls are often a really good idea if you change your mind quite a bit and you can bring color into your room other ways via bed covers, curtains and furniture.

Some paints, like Deluxe, have websites where you can view all the colors of paint and even decorate a virtual room. They may send you samples of the colors as well so that you can see what they look like in your room.
Most paint can be bought in sample sizes so you can test the colors out on part of your wall  a good idea if you’re planning to paint the room a very bright or very dark color!

Posters

Posters are a great, cheap way to decorate but if you want to make them look really smart, think about getting a frame for them. You can get large glass frames for pretty cheap and they'll, protect them and make them look more professional. The great thing about these frames, too, is that you can just change the poster if you get sick of it.

You can also get poster hangers, which just fit across the top of your poster to hold it straight and keep the edges from curling in.

Photos

Having a whole wall of photos of your friends and family can really make your room feel more personal. Sometimes though, all the tape, blu-tac and pins can leave the wall looking pretty rubbish. A great way around this is to get a piece of cork-board at your local hardware store. It’s cheap and light and you can just fix it on your wall to make one giant notice board for storing your important papers, cards, and photos.

You can get loads of really cool photo frames as well, or you can make a mobile and hang your photos from it. Think about enlarging some of your favourites, or getting them switched to black and white to make them look really sharp.

Lighting
You’d be amazed what a difference lighting can make to the feel of a room! If you’re not allowed to change your lights, ask about getting a couple of lamps to change the atmosphere

You can get colored lightbulbs to make your room feel more mellow or just different. A string of fairy lights strung around the wall can be a real feature of your room too.Candles are also great for creating a more homey feel - just remember to always put them out after you're done.
Plants
Living in the city can be convenient, however, the fast-paced lifestyle also brings along physical and mental pressure. A great way to make you feel better at home is by adding some greens. Plants will make your home feel fresher and create an ambiance that allows you to relax after a long day of work. You can either place some plants in a basket or hang them from your wall. There are many ways in which you can use plants to decorate your home.

Decorative wall paintings
If you think your walls are too plain and would like to add some decoration to them, decorative wall paintings are a great way to go. There are many highly affordable paintings in different styles and shapes available. Now it won’t be difficult to find a wall painting that will match your interior decor. Simply pick the paintings of your liking, match them up with each other, and you’ll be ready to go. After hanging some paintings onto your blank wall your home will instantly look more livable. Another option is to add a splash of color with a water wall.

Don't be afraid to use color
According to lifestyle  "A good way to give your room a fun splash of color without being too overwhelming it is to color block the wall by painting just the lower half of it. We chose a happy banana yellow and left the top half white to keep it bright and simple."

Make Rest a Priority
Your bedroom should be your retreat, a sanctuary for peaceful reading, writing, studying, as much as a resting place. Set fresh flowers on your nightstand to boost your mood, as pictured here.

Add Warmth With Neutrals
That idea works just as well with neutrals. Here, the neutral duvet and natural-lit room creates a cozy atmosphere.

Work the Walls
Nightstands and adjustable lamps affixed to walls smartly save space in a small room.
